Art as oxygen

Since our first tourism activities with traditional communities, we have come to realize the importance of their artistic manifestations as catalysts for fertile encounters that are conducive to two main types of dialogue: the internal ones, responsible for the necessary distancing for collective cohesion that renews and strengthens cultural roots and, consequently, the right to resist the disintegrating harassment of the hegemonic system; and the external ones, where visitors can witness the wealth of solutions to recurring problems of this same system, with wisdom translated into powerful cultural manifestations ranging from agriculture to the viola, from mutirões to cooking, from “causos” to poetry and community festivals.

Similarly, more recently we have extended this understanding to urban artists who, like their community peers, create against the system in a genuine way, opening symbolic doors that inspire attitudes that oppose the dystopia of today's world. New artistic dialogues, mutual awareness between different origins and ways of working, works that reach new and larger audiences are the pillars of Araribá's cultural work.

Our artistic achievements are based on shared work, where each piece is the result of mutual interest between artists and client partners, in a joint construction based on specific themes or formats.
